Cookies and similar technologies
On your first visit to davibc.ca, you will see a cookie consent banner that asks whether you accept the use of Google Analytics. Until you make a choice, all analytics, advertising, and personalisation storage is denied by default.
What we store if you accept
- Google Analytics cookies (typically
_gaand_ga_<property-id>), used to distinguish unique visitors and track session activity. These cookies persist for up to two years. - A small entry in your browser’s local storage (key:
cookie-consent, value:granted) so we do not ask you again on future visits.
What we store if you decline
- Only the local storage entry recording your choice (key:
cookie-consent, value:denied). No Google Analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is collected.
Changing your mind
To withdraw or re-grant consent, clear the cookie-consent entry from your browser’s local storage (browser Developer Tools → Application → Local Storage), then reload davibc.ca. The banner will reappear so you can make a new choice. You can also clear all site data through your browser’s privacy settings to achieve the same result.
